Join the Master and "Look Up London" for an immersive virtual tour through Spitalfields' history. Right on the edge of the City of London, today Spitalfields is a melting pot of different cultures and communities. On this virtual tour we will see how its modern character can be traced through its eclectic history. Using Google Street View, images and video we will explore the streets of Spitalfields, meeting its colourful characters and unexpected historic delights.
Katie Wignall is a Blue Badge Tourist Guide and founder of the Award-Winning Blog Look Up London. The tour will be hosted via zoom and last approximately an hour including time for questions.
There is no charge for this event, but it is limited to 30 devices (you can share a screen of course) so there may be a ballot - we can run more virtual walks later if necessary.
We will send an email to everyone who is successful in the ballot on Monday 27th July containing the Zoom link and instructions for joining. If you need help with setting up Zoom on your device then please email clerk@guild-freemen-london.co.uk
