The Thames from Richmond Park

Visit to Ham House, Lunch at the Petersham & stroll in Richmond Park (A)
Wednesday 10 May 2006
Dress: Blazer / Jacket & Tie

This event will start with coffee in the grounds of Ham House, near Richmond, the fabulous 17th Century home of the Duke of Lauderdale. An exclusive, guided tour of the house will be followed by a gourmet luncheon in the prestigious restaurant in the nearby Petersham Hotel, which stands high on Richmond Hill, overlooking the water-meadows which are a central feature of one of the most famous and attractive stretches of the River Thames. The day will conclude with a guided stroll through the famous Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park - where the mass of azaleas and rhododendrons should be in full bloom.
