Reception & RNLI Demonstration - Little Ships Club
Wednesday 13 June 2018
Dress: Suit/Jacket & Tie

The Guild has a long association with the RNLI and this year the Master is delighted that the RNLI Tower Lifeboat Station has agreed to give members an exciting demonstration which, subject to operational requirements, will include a simulated rescue and a test of the boat's manoeuvrability. The Tower Lifeboat Station is the busiest RNLI station in the country, covering 16 miles of the Thames from Barking to Battersea; in 2017 the brave crew were called out 520 times and saved 14 lives. The event is being supported by kind permission of the Commodore of the Little Ships Club where we will enjoy a two-course supper with wine along with refreshments which we can take onto the terrace to view the demonstration before supper. Members and their guests are invited to make a charitable donation (suggested £10 per person) for presentation to the Tower Lifeboat Station.
