Visit to Apsley House & Supper in the Caledonian Club
Wednesday 5 July 2017
Dress: Suit/Jacket & Tie
A visit has been arranged to 'Number One London', the London home of the Dukes of Wellington. The Guild has been granted private access to Apsley House for a guided tour of the Duke's treasures and magnificent art collection containing a number of Old Masters and given to the 1st Duke by the Spanish Royal family after his success at Waterloo. After the tour, Guild members will make their way the short distance for supper in the Caledonian Club on Halkin Street. Here members will be able to gather their thoughts during a reception in the library before enjoying a three-course supper in the Morrison Room under the watchful eye of Bonnie Prince Charlie!
