Reception & Supper - Cutlers' Hall
Wednesday 29 April 2015
Dress: Suit

Immediately after the Annual Service there will be a Reception and Dinner in Cutlers' Hall which provides a good opportunity to meet the Master, members of the Court, fellow Guild members and the choir from King Edward's School, Witley. This building, the 5th Cutlers' Hall, came into use on March 7th 1888. During WW2 the Hall survived the great fire-bomb raid on 29th December 1940. The following morning only St. Paul's Cathedral and Cutlers' Hall stood virtually unscathed. Unfortunately, on 10th May 1941 a high explosive bomb demolished the adjoining building and took away the entire north wall of the Hall. By 1951 the damage had been repaired and the Hall came back into full use.
