Visit to London Archaeological Archives & Research Centre & Lunch
Tuesday 21 April 2015
Dress: Blazer / Jacket & Tie

This is the largest archaeological archive in the world. It houses finds from more than 8,500 excavations across London, ranging from prehistoric flints to whale bones, a treasure trove of fine porcelain and jewellery, to a mummified 20th century cat. Half our party (4A) will assemble for refreshments at 10.30 a.m., be given a briefing followed by a guided tour of the archives, and finishing with a buffet lunch. The other half (4B) will assemble at 12.00 noon for refreshments and the briefing, then join the first group for lunch, and enjoy a guided tour of the archives after lunch.
