Beating Retreat on Horse Guards Parade & Dinner on HQS Wellington
Tuesday 3 June 2014
Dress: Suit

We will be celebrating the 350th Anniversary of the Royal Marines who trace their origins to 28th October 1664, when in the grounds of the Honourable Artillery Company 'The Duke of York and Albany's Maritime Regiment of Foot' was first formed. Our Guild has a particular connection as Past Master General Sir Peter Whiteley was Commandant General of the Royal Marines. Guild Members and their guests will take their seats on Horse Guards Parade to watch this magnificent age-old Ceremony in the early evening before taking the short walk to HQS Wellington for a delightful 3-course dinner.
