"Secret World of Dickens" Show & Supper - Lauderdale House
Friday 9 May 2014
Dress: Suit

Ian Keable, winner of the Magic Circle Comedy Award, will be entertaining us after supper with a humorous and mystifying private show in the authentic atmosphere of the 16th Century Lauderdale House which lies in the historic setting of Highgate and features in Charles Dickens' novels, most notably David Copperfield and Oliver Twist. The show will reveal Charles Dickens to have been a clandestine conjurer with a performance of his favourite magic tricks and divulging the spooky practices of Victorian physics. The show is sub-titled 'mirth, marvels and the mysterious' and these should prevail throughout to give us a fun evening!
