Reception & Dinner - Carpenters' Hall
Thursday 25 October 2012
Dress: Black Tie

The Carpenters' Company is number 26 in the order of precedence of the City's Livery Companies. Their first hall was built in 1429 and it survived until it was severely weakened by fire in the mid-nineteenth century. A second hall was built during the 1870s, and the present hall was built following the destruction of its predecessor in an air raid in 1941. This is the first time since February 1999 that the Guild has held a dinner in this magnificent hall, so members are encouraged to renew their acquaintance with this splendid building. The evening will comprise a traditional Livery-style reception and dinner, enhanced by a guest speaker and some musical entertainment.
