Long Weekend in Venice
Friday 27 April 2012 - Wednesday 2 May 2012
Dress: as shown in the event instructions

The Master is planning a truly memorable long-weekend trip to Venice. Hopefully the weather will be perfect. To set the tone of the holiday, the Master has chosen the world-famous Hotel Danieli to stay in and will start the trip with a welcoming dinner in the hotel. Thereafter, as always with the Guild, the aim will be to take you to places you may never otherwise see.

The trip will include private visits to prestigious homes and palaces in Venice, such as the Palazzo Bonvecchiati and the Palazzo Pisani, a visit to the Palazzo Vernier dei Leoni to see the famous Guggenheim art collection, a special day trip to the island of Giudecca, a trip to the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello (which will include visits to an exclusive glass factory and to see something of the traditional Venetian lace making). The finale will be a gala dinner in the enchanting Palazzo Albrizzi, with its famous gardens.

Members are advised that there will be a considerable amount of walking during this trip, with no possibility of taxis or other means of transport being provided.

Price and booking information only available to members.
