Holiday in Romania
Sunday 1 May 2011 - Thursday 12 May 2011
Dress: as shown in the event instructions

In early May the Master will lead a 12-day visit to Romania. After a night in Bucharest, the 'Paris of the East', and a morning tour of the highlights of the city, the party will set off into the Carpathian Mountains to Kronstadt (Brasov), one of the Siebenburgen of the Saxon Lands. The next week will be spent travelling through the Carpathian Mountains and Transylvania, visiting towns, villages and other places of interest, such as Castle Bran (popularly known as Dracula's Castle) and the beautiful Saxon village of Deutchweisskirchen, a World Heritage Site, and where HRH The Prince of Wales has acquired and restored a property. There will then be a leisurely drive through the Carpathian Alps and Wallachia, stopping for a night en route, before returning for a fabulous 2-day programme based in Bucharest. The cost of this trip is not yet available, though it is intended that it should cost about £2,200-£2,500 a person sharing a double room, excluding flights to Romania
