Weekend Visit to Gibraltar
Thursday 2 September 2004 - Sunday 5 September 2004
Dress: Comfortable

This year is the 300th Anniversary of British Gibraltar. The Gibraltar National Day is 10th September, and the Guild has been invited to join in the celebrations by the Government of Gibraltar. The party will fly from Gatwick on a scheduled flight and will stay in the famous Rock Hotel. That evening the Guild will be hosted at a band concert in St Michael's Cave. The next day, for an additional payment, those who wish to do so will be able to enjoy an excursion by sea to Tangiers, stopping for lunch at the world famous El Minzah hotel. Everyone will be back in time for a relaxing dinner in a bistro on the stunning Queensway Quay in Gibraltar. On Saturday 4th September, after a day spent shopping and sightseeing, the Guild will host a reception in the Rock Hotel for a select group of senior Government officials before attending a black-tie dinner as guests of the Chief Minister, The Honourable Peter Caruana, QC, and the Government of Gibraltar. On Sunday morning the party will have the opportunity to attend the Battle of Britain Memorial Service in the King's Chapel before touring the ancient cloisters as guests of the Governor, His Excellency Sir Francis Richards, KCMG CVO. That afternoon there will be time to relax before catching the evening flight back to Gatwick.
