Visits to the Corum Foundling Museum and the Dickens Museum, Lunch (A)
Wednesday 7 November 2007
Dress: Jacket & Tie

This event is full of variety and interest, and is sure to appeal to everyone! Guild members and their guests will assemble for coffee at the Corum Foundling Museum in Brunswick Square, London WC1. After refreshments the party will be divided in two. One group will be taken on a guided tour of the Foundling Museum, to enjoy one of the finest collections of paintings in London, including works by Hogarth, Reynolds and Gainsborough, while the other group will be taken round the Dickens' Museum in nearby Doughty Street - where they will enjoy an introductory talk, a DVD presentation and some hands-on exposure to original artefacts, as well as time to explore this fascinating house. Both groups will meet for a relaxing lunch in a delightful Italian bistro mid-way between the two museums. After lunch the visits will be reversed. This event will be identical to 20B. Please insert 20A/20B in the 'Event No' box on the Application Form if you would be happy to attend either one.
